Radio’s Golden Age: Historical Voices
Mass communication together with entertainment experienced a complete transformation during the Golden Age of Radio from 1920s through the 1950s. People received entertainment and news stories from the main sources of media which were radio programs before televisions gained widespread household adoption. A significant number of individuals engaged with human voices as broadcasts distinctively reached radio receivers to receive inspiration together with information and entertainment during this period.
The Growth of Radio Transmission
During the 1920s radio broadcasting expanded quickly as radio stations began appearing in every part of the United States and additional countries. KDKA in Pittsburgh launched the first commercially licensed radio programming in 1920 thus leading to a rapid programming expansion. The increasing affordability of radios led families to group together in front of them while they listened.
