​KREM FM emerged in 1989 as Belizes inaugural private radio station which launched its operations specifically on November 17th of that year. Through VPM-FM the station provides broadcasts from Belize City and belongs to Kremandala Ltd which additionally publishes the Amandala newspaper while running KREM Television.​ Today KREM FM continues its role as a powerful media platform which delivers mixed programming of music alongside news and talk shows that showcase Belizean cultural diversity.
