Since 1977, RadioActive.FM 88.6 has been Wellington, New Zealand’s main alternative radio station. The group began in Victoria University of Wellington, forming to protest nuclear ships in the harbour and over time grew into one of the centerpieces of Aotearoa’s independent music scene, recognized for its diverse line-ups and strong group bond.
